Professors Brandes (Geology), Iyer (Biology), and Harless (Biology) discuss the rejuvenating effects outside writing projects bring to their teaching. Anitha is finishing an update of an Instructor's Manual, which Julie edited several years ago. Nat is researching and writing a Field Guide. All of us find the new things we learn work their way into our classes and give students a taste of the excitement we feel for our disciplines.
